In this article, you can read about the basic rules of the game Blokus and learn how to play. The object of the game is to have the most points. You lose points based on how many squares you have left on your ending pieces you can’t play.
Pieces of your own color must always touch another piece of your own color at the diagonal corners only they may not be touching the same color against flat sides. Each player starts the game in a corner. Your very first piece must fill the corner square of your starting corner.
The game ends when no player can play any more pieces. If you play all your pieces you get 15 points. If the last piece you play is the small 1 square piece even if you have other pieces you couldn’t play you get a bonus plus 5 points. For every square part on all your unplayed pieces you get minus 1 point. For example, this unplayed piece is worth minus 5 points this is minus 4 this is minus 3 and so on. The player with the most points wins.
