In this article, you can read about the basic rules of the game Tsuro and learn how to play. The object of the game is to be the last player standing.
Setup
Set out the board. Each player picks a marker. Find the dragon tile and set it aside. Shuffle the tiles and deal three to each player. These create their hands. Stack the remaining tiles face down for a draw pile.
Beginning with the oldest player and proceeding clockwise, each player chooses a starting mark on the edge of the board and places their marker on it. The game now begins.
Continuing in clockwise order on your turn you place one tile from your hand in front of your marker in any orientation you choose. Then, you must move all markers affected by the play style along their corresponding path until they reach the end of their path.
Then, draw one tile from the draw deck. If the path of a marker leads it off the board that player is out of the game. If the path of a marker collides with another player both players leave the game. A player may not willingly send their own marker off the edge of the board unless there is no alternative.
Dragon Tile
When the draw pile runs out, the player needing to draw receives the dragon tile. This tile marks who receive tiles first when the draw deck runs out.
Whenever a player is eliminated, their leftover tiles are shuffled and added to the draw deck. If the draw deck is empty and a player has the dragon tile then tiles are distributed to players in turn order up to the current player’s turn starting with the player with the dragon tile.
If there aren’t enough tiles to give to all the players then transfer the dragon tile to the next player in succession. Also, if an eliminated player has the dragon tile pass it clockwise.
The last marker on the board wins. If multiple markers are on the board and all the tiles have been played, then those players tie for a win. If the last two markers collide with each other, then both those players win.
