Intel made its debut in the field of smartphones. The Indian company Lava International unveiled the Lava Xolo X900 model, which will be powered by Intel’s Atom Z2460 processor. This phone will remain reserved exclusively for the Indian market and was realized as part of a partnership between the two companies.
The mentioned processor, which is the heart of this phone, will work at a frequency of 1 GHz.
The Lava Xolo X900 will have an 8-megapixel camera, which will be able to make 1080p videos in HD format. The phone will support 3G technology and will display content on a 4-inch LCD display. In terms of software, the Lava Xolo X900 is equipped with Android Gingerbread, but Intel says that the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich is coming soon.
Apart from this Indian company, Intel has already decided to cooperate with other manufacturers, such as the Chinese ZTE, the American Motorola, which means that there will only be phones with an Intel core.
