In this article, I give you my Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 review with specs included. In an effort to refresh and enhance its tablet offering, Samsung has introduced a Pro line of these devices. The South Korean manufacturer was guided by the idea of offering tablets of all sizes to the market, hence the Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 and Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. The middle model Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is next.
Despite the fact that Samsung has very good 10-inch tablets in its offer, it decided to make a new one. Now the question arises whether the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 (Codename SM-T525NZKAKSA) is in fact a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) without an S-Pen or something new and better. I will try to give the answer to that question through the following lines.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 design
Like the two mentioned brothers, this tablet does not offer anything new in terms of design. At first glance, you will have a dilemma whether it is a Galaxy Note 3 or a Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) tablet.
The reason for that is the simple, but at the same time harmonious Sasmung design with plastic as the dominant material and imitation leather on the back.
There is a familiar trio of buttons on the front. There is a solid home key and a pair of capacitive keys. The main power button is located on the top of the device, while the microSD slot is on the left, and the stereo speakers are on the sides.
The tablet is easy on the hands. It is quite thin and with an acceptable 469g, handling it is not too difficult a task. There is plastic on the side of the screen, so it spoils the aesthetic pleasure a bit, but it gives your fingers a chance to fit nicely when using the tablet.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 screen
Samsung has decided to make the screen the main part of this tablet. Like other Galaxy Pro tablets, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 has a high resolution screen (2560 × 1600 pixels). Of course, this is not the best thing so far, because other 10-inch tablets offer the same or similar resolution. I mean, first of all, the Nexus 10.
Thanks to 299 pixels per inch, image sharpness is present, especially when it comes to text. The quality of the colors is at a high level. All in all, this screen provides a real pleasure to use, so even looking at it for a long time will not be a problem.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Specification and Performance
The screen was not a compromise. So it is with performance. There are no problems with the powerful Exynos 5 Octa processor (or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 depending on the device version). As expected, work on this tablet runs smoothly.
Hand on heart, sometimes it happens that the tablet hiccups, but that is more to a somewhat more demanding interface, than to hardware components that are very high quality. If multitasking is your priority, this shouldn’t scare you, because several applications will work quite normally at the same time.
Samsung offers you a choice between 16 or 32GB of internal memory. At the same time, there are differences between the versions, depending on which type of connection you choose.
The LTE variant has this Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, while Wi-Fi runs on the Exynos 5 Octa processor. The first has a speed of 2.3GHz, while the second runs at a frequency of 1.9GHz. In addition to this, the tablet also offers the option of connecting to your TV and PC, so it can be said that it is a very practical device.
The audio atmosphere is very good. The stereo speakers are loud enough and the sound clarity is good. When it comes to battery life, this 8.220mAh is enough for some four days. When it comes to heavy use, you can count on the whole day, but in any case, with average use, the Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 gives a few days without a charger.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 camera
The tablet has an 8MP camera on the back. It comes with a pretty good app, which offers plenty of shooting modes and mods. The quality of the photos is the same as with the bigger brother, but it is clear that due to the size of the device, this will be more of an auxiliary camera, which will change the one from the smartphone if necessary.
Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 Conclusion
When we add and subtract everything, we can hardly find any element that would separate this tablet from the two brothers. The only difference is the screen size.
On the other hand, the price is what a good part of potential buyers will turn down. What can justify the high price to some extent are the great multimedia and multitasking possibilities. Therefore, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is ideal for all categories of users, whether they are interested in video games, movies or are business users.
